VideoAkt AB signs up for 3D

Monday (17-10-2010) VideoAkt AB has signed a contract with Visage Technologies AB for combined development of 3D software. “We are also delighted to have been able to sign this contract in a co-operative development with Visage.’’ Dr. Olof Lindahl, CEO VideoAkt AB, said  “This will provide mutual benefits to both companies’’. Visage Technologies AB offers innovative technology and services for applications involving computer generated virtual characters and computer vision for finding and tracking faces and facial features in images and video. The agreement covers research and development of facial feature extraction and tracking. Both companies will cooperate in robust software solutions in 3D world.

Taktil stol kan hjälpa blinda

Taktil stol kan hjälpa blinda Projektet Taktil video inom CMTF med Olof Lindahl och Haibo Li i ledningen har besökts av personal från BAE Systems Hägglunds från Övik. Under besöket demonstrerades den taktila stol som utvecklats inom projektet Taktil video för att hjälpa blinda att se igen. Principen är att videokameror fångar omgivningen och en dator extraherar högnivåinformation som tex ansiktsuttryck och transformerar videosignalen till vibrerande mönster som kan avkännas av känselsensorerna i huden på ryggen.
